ISO TC 307- Plenary II (Tokyo)
The International Blockchain Conference and the ISO/TC 307 meeting were held in Sydney (Plenary I) after the International Organization for Standardization approved a New Work Item Proposal by Standards Australia for the development of international standards for blockchain and allocated the secretariat for ISO/TC 307 to Australia.

TC 307 decides to establish a Study Group on Governance of Blockchain & DLT systems (SG6), starting in November 2017 and lasting until the 3rd meeting of TC 307. This group will study material relevant to the various aspects of governance in the context of Blockchain and DLT systems. Mr. Roman Beck (Denmark) is appointed convenor of this work. The first WebEx meeting of SG 6 is planned to be held before December 16th.
TC 307 decides to establish a study group on Interoperability of Blockchain & DLT systems (SG7), starting in November 2017 and lasting until the 3 rd meeting of TC 307. This group will study material relevant to the various aspects of interoperability involving Blockchain and DLT systems
Eric Cohen was appointed as convenor of this work. The 1 st meeting of SG7 is planned for Dec 5 th @ 21:00 UTC.

NWIP 1: Taxonomy and Ontology 5.
NWIP 2: Reference Architecture
a. Reference Architecture. -Heather Kreger volunteered to put her name forward as Project Leader. China (Peter Luo), Korea (Kyeong Hee Oh) and France (Christophe Ozcan) volunteered to provide resources for co-editorship/co-leader
b. Taxonomy and Ontology NWIP. China (Peter Luo) has come forward to lead this NWIP, but we agreed to go forward to without naming the Project Leaders. France (Jerome Pons) is able to support as co-editor/leader. China offers Rongge Luo (Peter)
NWIP were also submitted for legally binding smart contracts with Philippa Ryan as Project leader.
